Honoring School Counselors: National School Counseling Week 2024 Mark your calendars! From February 5th to 9th, the National School Counseling Week 2024 will take place, and this year's theme is "School Counseling: Standards-Based, Student-Focused." It's time to celebrate the remarkable work of our school counselors in unlocking the potential of our students. Today, we recognize Emily Day from Lakeview Middle School, whose unwavering commitment has helped students explore their unique gifts, talents and passions. She serves as a beacon of hope for parents navigating the challenges of raising children in today's world. Emily's dedication to fostering positivity and nurturing academic, career, and social/emotional growth in students, while working with teachers to create a conducive learning environment, is truly commendable. Our gratitude extends to Emily and all the outstanding school counselors for their invaluable contributions to our team. Todd Braddock shared, “Emily Day is a vital member of our office team. She wears many hats and juggles numerous responsibilities in her role as a guidance counselor and school counselor. This is an incredible responsibility to manage, yet Emily continues to perform her job at a high level every day putting the needs of students first and foremost. We are incredibly lucky to have a guidance counselor the caliber of Emily Day and we are thankful she is a part of our wonderful team here at Lakeview Middle School.” #ExperienceLakeview #ExperienceWCS

Discover Future Opportunities! It's that time of year again! As students prepare to select their classes for the following year, they are given a unique opportunity to get a sneak peek of what each class will involve. This is made possible through the WCHS/WACC Academic Showcase & 8th Grade Orientation "Open House" event, where teachers open up their classrooms to visitors and offer a glimpse into the students' work, giving an idea of what the class may be like. #ExperienceWCS #ExperienceLakeview
