Lincoln staff were joined by Dr. Hoffert today for the annual handing out of HOT CHOCOLATE to parents. The building is filled with wondrous art. This week, staff and students donned festive spirit wear.
Mrs. Scroggs, WCS Director of Communications, joined Mrs. Hutchinson, 6th-grade teacher extraordinaire, to read an adaptation of the classic novel, “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens, 1843. The rendition of a British novel read with a British accent was well received. An adaptation of The 12 Days of Christmas followed - personalized by Mrs. Hutchinson:
On the ___ day before break, my teacher gave to me:
A Christmas Present;
Steaming Hot Cocoa;
Gum to Blow Bubbles;
A Mini Apple;
Cow Stationery;
A Note That She Loves Me (so sweet);
A Rice Crispy Treat;
NO MATH HOMEWORK (this was yelled - ha);
Yummy Cookies;
A Calendar;
A #2 Pencil;
An Elf that Looks Kind of Creepy (yeah...you'll have to ask Mrs. H about that one - ha).
Students were then each given a gift to unwrap - cozy socks with a matching customized face mask. Students squealed with delight and quickly put on their new apparel.
THANK YOU Mrs. Hutchinson for ALL you do. Your generosity and love for your students is incredible. Thank you for challenging, supporting, motivating, and rewarding your students.
They are THRIVING because of you!
